ISIS Drones? Potential Arms Race Again?

Ahoy, West! Anyone Minding the Switch While An Oncoming Train (or 777 Plane) Races Toward Us? First Question: How Technologically Adept? If it is true that ISIS is receiving sophisticated outside help with drones, how possible is it that the same international complex of West-hating, Arab-using, and Islam-abusing dark forces is capable of the scenario envisioned in Vanished Flight 777? The question posed in my book is: Did Al Qaeda (or ISIS) types hijack Flight MH370? Are they weaponizing it in some hidden location as posed in my book? And will they unleash a new 9/11 terror attack to astound and horrify the world? ISIS has shown they are capable of anything—so why not another world-class terror attack that will go down in the history books like those in 2001? Wake up, West. Read the book. Smell the coffee (and the nitrites and sulfur). Look for the loud bang and the bright flash that tells us we got zapped again. Sleep, and we shall weep.

Another Proxy War in Mesopotamia? According to CNN's Peter Bergen with Emily Schneider, ISIS may now be using drones. That immediately calls to mind the Cold War days when many Arab states were ruled by dictators (Assad, Saddam, Ghadafi, et al) who were often Soviet clients and puppets. Who would be supplying sophisticated technology to ISIS? My first look would be at the duplicitous, dangerous military rulers of Pakistan, who supplied nuclear technology to North Korea and hid Osama bin Laden for years. Iran comes to mind, but ISIS is of the rival Sunni flavor, so such sourcing would be at best a complex matrushka dodge. Various scurrilous zillionaire Saudi and Emirati oil cheneys come to mind. And then, we must not leave out Mr. Putin of Russia, who never sees trouble he doesn't love to get in the middle of. Putin has at least one stake in the region, which is a historic Cold War alliance with Syria for ice-free, salt water porting; see: Tartus. The U.S. and the U.S.S.R. spent years and multiple theater wars in a costly arms race, usually pitting Israel against her Arab neighbors. If anything, following the abortive Arab Spring and the removal of relic dictators, there should be a regional resistance to outside interference. But we'll see if the region can free itself from the disease of manipulative wars (along with convenient anti-West, anti-Israel rhetoric). The ongoing Palestinian national suicide, formerly spearheaded by a grinning, megalomaniacal Arafat, and now administered by the Kevorkian regime of Hamas, will be a good barometer of whither the region in general is ready for peace or continues to slide in the direction of self-annihilation.

Al Jazeera Reporting on Mesopotamia.

Fair and Balanced: Arab Take on the Situation? Many interesting articles covering the Mesopotamian crisis, presumably from an Arab and Muslim point of view. Although, when I see their heading Iraq, I realize immediately that Al Jazeera is as fallible as the Western media.

Particular Concern: Regional Blood Bath. Many observers fear that a backlash against ISIS insanity will lead to even more bloodshed and madness. Read this Al Jazeera report. Nobody except the behind the scenes manipulators (Arab or otherwise) will benefit from a historic blood bath. For the West, the greatest danger is a disruption in world oil supplies, which could collapse an already fragile world economy not yet recovered after being left in tatters by the Bush/Cheney Usurper Regime of 2000-2008, along with continued intra-USA corporate republican crippling of the federal government on behalf of corporate (often international) interests.

Contagion Spreads: Boko Haram Declares Islamic State.

Entire Region at Risk—Metaphor For Ebola or Vice-Versa. BBC reports that African Islamic terrorists have declared an Islamic state in northeastern Nigeria, thus potentially creating a bridge to extremists long ravaging eastern Africa, and aligned with the terror regime in Mesopotamia. My own estimation is that we will see a growing backlash against these fanatics, since most Muslims do not subscribe to their primitive, psychotic (Taliban-like) notions; to say nothing of Christian sects and Animists who face extermination and ethnic cleansing if these terrorists consolidate their grip as the Taliban did in Afghanistan. The United States, meanwhile, is in the midst of a protracted, costly, and potentially fatal internal war over health care reform and background cultural issues (labor unions, gun ownership, racism, etc) that should never cripple our abilities as they have in recent years. Without U.S. leadership as a strong nation, the West cannot possibly hope to face the multiple threats coming from an increasingly provocative Red China, a resurgent Russia under Putin, a global Islamic war of terrorism, and other threats. It will be interesting to see how the midterm elections in November 2014 steer the ship of state.
